Gulp! Sniff! GRRRR!

How many of you are feeling this way today?
How many had a hard time getting out of bed this Monday morning?
MEEEEEE!!!!!!
Making your home sing Mondays
Before I even went to Momstheword today, I was planning on writing about sleeping in.
Even though we have to sleep more, because we are sick, does not mean we have to fall into a bad rut. (I am telling this to myself) I will make my home sing today, even though I am getting sicky, by getting back on schedule.
We did it! Now to just go heat up those leftovers for our big meal at 2:45 pm. How many of you would be able to get a big meal ready by 2:30 in the middle of the day? That´s when most Spanish families eat their big meals. I try to plan at least one day for leftovers, so I can have an easy day. Monday, is a great day for leftovers.
Hope the family likes lentils, chicken, rice, beans and whatever else I can find in the fridge.

  1. Oh Dani Joy....I am so sorry you are sick. That stinks!

I've been fighting a headache all morning. My head was pounding while I was working out and I wanted to quite...but I didn't! Just took a pill when I got done. We're fighting off something around here too, but it's not settled in yet...praying it won't either.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Praying for you.

  2. Oh no! I'm sorry you guys aren't feeling well. I hope you start feeling better soon. I've been fighting congestion in my chest for 2 days now. I don't have time to get sick. So I am taking preventative measures. Hopefully I can keep it at bay.

Sounds like a great meal. Hope your guys agree. Have a great day my friend!

  3. Sorry you're sick. It stinks to have to go through the normal routine and get lots done when you don't feel well. I'll be praying you all get better soon.

I always have a hard time getting out of bed and it has nothing to do with being sick. I'm so NOT a morning person!

  4. I was able to get out of bed, but am useless for much more. Ugh, I know that feeling you speak of!!

Add garlic to your leftovers!! It will help with any potential sickness ;)

  5. Oh I'm sorry you're all sick. That's so miserable! And cooking when you're sick? Ugh!

No, I can't imagine fixing dinner so early in the day. My friend Nannette used to have their dinner at lunchtime (because of her hubby's work schedule). They'd eat a big meal about 1:30 p.m. and then have a light supper in the evening.

Thanks for linking up today and thought I'd mention my free blog makeover giveaway.

  9. Hope you get to feel better soon. It is hard for us mommies to get sick because we still have to take care of everyone else and the house. Sleep in a little bit :)

  10. I feel like that EVERY morning. Hearing that alarm clock and getting out of the bed is the WORST part of the day for me. Ten minutes later I'm fine, but that first few minutes is sheer TORTURE!

  11. The jaguar photo you liked belongs to missionary Mike Dawson. I bet your boys would really enjoy his book, 'Growing up Yanomami'.
