Cleaning Frenzy Slower than Slow!

Getting only half of a room cleaned last week and only a couple of tests corrected, doesn´t count for a frenzy. Does it? I mean, I have a right to throw a Mama Fit( My friend NINA and missionary neighbor in Portugal started these fits.)

Every time I get started working on something, I get interupted by something else. The boys needing something, needing to get dinner, English classes, exercise, well, just about my whole daily schedule gets in the way of this summer cleaning frenzy.

Today, I started with good intentions of finishing the grades before I posted this, but the baby cried abit more today inorder to sleep, the boys had Spanish class, I had to feed the baby, and I had to clean the kitchen. Well, you get the point.

I didn´t throw a literal fit. Just here on my blog.  It makes me feel a little better to vent. I didn´t take it out on my family, I promise.

Today, I am doing the Making my Home Sing  meme by going with the flow. Praying to be able to get to some more cleaning and grading done by this evening.

Meet Ester.

She and her mommy come to our church services. Her mommy had to start work, and I offered to take care of Ester so she didn´t have to go to child care. She is a good happy baby, and a joy to have around.

The boys love her!

How are you getting ready for the summer? Will you all be visiting family or going on long trips? How will you get ready for school next year?

  1. Well, my friend, do you remember when you had a new baby? I always had tons of projects and no time...it sounds like you are in the same boat. =)
    A favorite quote:
"I hope that my child, looking back on today
    Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."

I used it when to calm myself when I would get too stressed out. It would remind me the dust will keep coming back but the baby will only be a baby for a little while. I hope it helps you too.

I will pray you get enough energy to do what God has on His to do list for you to do each day. =)

    Big hugs!

  2. A baby involves a lot of work and is a cleaning frenzy in herself, haha!

Anything you accomplish is moving you towards your goal. Next fall I will be watching my friend's developmentally disabled daughter while she returns to work full-time.

I will only be watching her after school but most of it will be watching her in my friend's home, so I will have to really stick to a schedule near year, since I'll be gone a couple of hours every day.

    Thanks for linking up today!

She's SO cute! I hate cleaning, so I can always find a million other things to do. These last weeks of school are kinda crazy and I'm opening a store this summer and getting ready to homeschool my daughter, so there's lots of work to do. Honestly, I'm not getting much done either!
