Mele Kalikimaka!

"Is thing to say on bright Hawaiian Christmas day."

NO? We aren´t in Hawaii???

Well, I tried. I guess we aren´t in Hawaii, but we have gotten our Bing Crosby cd out! Our tree is up, and we are just really getting excited for Christmas. I think this is the earliest we have gotten everything up.

The boys put the tree up early this week. It´s amazing that they can actually put it together without my help now. I did put the lights on though, and decorated it. I like a themed tree now, seens how my childhood ornaments got lost in one of our moves.

It looks a little bare. Wonder what I am missing?

You can´t see the lights. There are so many of them!

Anyway, it has really helped our home get into the Christmas spirit.

This is how we celebrate Mary´s Immaculate Conception holiday here in Spain. It´s a big holiday right before Christmas. Most Spaniards get together with their family and eat.

We stayed up to watch good ol´American Football! And we will go out to eat tomorrow.

Missin´all our family but trying to get singing the Christmas Spirit anyway.

What kinds of things do you do to get into the Christmas Spirit with your family?

Come and join in
 Making your home sing Mondays

  1. Your tree is so pretty! We have ours up too, and I don't think we have ever decorated this early either, but I'm glad it's done!

When the kids were little we would get caroling and they loved it. We used to do things like look at Christmas lights, go to a Christmas play, decorate cookies, watch a Christmas movie on t.v. and buy Christmas gifts for a stranger (our church supplies the names from families in the community who are in need), etc.

    Thanks for linking up!

  2. I love your tree. It's very pretty.
And girl you crack me up! I see you must have changed your background before I had a chance to bust you on picking mine. LOL. I almost picked this one but changed my mind at the last second. It looks really cute on your blog.
We just got done making gingerbread houses. I had sugar all over me! Quite funny.

  3. Hi! I love your new look. Very cute. Your tree is pretty too!

  4. You tree looks great!! I think it's so cute that your buys slept beside it!

  5. Love the snow on your blog...and this post and your family picture from the front and the back---how great!!

  6. Dani..the tree looks great!! My kids would sleep in the living room too if it wasn't so cold right now!

  7. What a pretty tree,
I love anykind of movie night with the kids & hubby, I like better than they do,ha,
We are trying to get into the spirit ,its hard around here right now,

    love the new background,
& all the new pics, too cute

  8. Its a holiday here too, but no one "celebrates", its just a day off.
The men of the Church are going to the camp to play soccer.

Its hard to feel Christmassy here because it is Summer. But because there was so much German immigration in the last century, there is quite a bit of Christmas decorating and such. Most people in our Church had their tree up before we did!

  9. I always love to hear that song at makes me laugh and happy :) Also...Feliz of our favorites.

Your house is ready for Christmas....I love your tree. The boys sleeping under it....adorable.

    And..your new header is great!!

  10. We do just what you have done: listen to Christmas music and decorate the house with lots of green stuff, lights, bows, holly, snowmen, and yummy smelling candles.

  11. BTW- your picture at the top is so cute!

  12. I super love Bing!! We also have that CD and have played it to death.

The boys are so cute asleep in front of the tree. I love being in the LR when it's dark and the lights are all aglow.

Oh yea, btw, love the look to the blog!

  13. Hola Chica!!
Me encanta tu nuevo look y pues te he copiado la nieve,LOL
    Que estes bien!!

  14. Hey girl!
    The tree looks good:)
We also miss family this time of year.
Our family reads the Christmas story every day during the month of December to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas. By the end of the month, even the little ones have it memorized:)

Love to hear encouraging comments that uplift Christ and boost our daily walk with Him! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I read everyone of them and try to always respond at your blog, too.
