Summer Fun to Summer Separation Anxiety

Nothing like exploring the rocks on the coast. We opted to stay out yesterday for some playtime. The boys and I had a blast! Here are some pictures of our adventures.

What in the world are they looking for?

OOO.... Creepy Crawlies!!!

I actually saved a baby crab! He was flailing on the rocks. The boys all lifted up a cheer for me.

Ok... in this picture I was just calling the dog. I wanted her to look up.

They were all daring each other.
Guess who went first? The youngest! I missed his picture, though.

Now for Summer Separation Anxiety! The head of our home has gone away. He is in his brother´s wedding in California. We have to say goodbye for a week. We are happy for David and Cori but we are really spoiled as we don´t have to be away from each other much. I told the boys it´s just like Daddy´s going to camp. That seemed to help.
All is well on the home front as long as the boys get along. We hope to go for bike rides, play some B-ball, and read some good books to help pass the time.
"We miss you already, Daddy!"

  1. aawww, I am so sorry you guys ended up not being able to go :(. I know you must be hating being without him. Well, call me if you get bored :)

  2. Awwww!! I can imagine how much you all miss him!!!

I love all the pictures, especially the one of you and your handsome little men!! Looks like a perfect place for boys to play and explore!

  3. I know just how you feel my husband went on a trip a few weeks ago,he was only gone 24hours & I went crazy,,feel sorry for you.

I found your blog from MsNina's
she was my pastors wife before they left,

  4. Looks like lots of fun at the shore:)

Hope your hubby has a nice time, and praying you survive. :) Sounds like you and the boys have some nice things planned.

  5. Awww, c'mon...I know you were blowing us kisses ;)!

What a beautiful area. The rocks would have had me nervous. My boys seem to slip n slide around rocks and water.

I would be missing my man too!!

  6. Dani Joy,
The rock excursion looks like so much fun! And a great adventure for the boys. I pray the Lord makes your week joyful as your hubby visits his brother for the wedding festivities.
    Blessings to you!

  7. Figures. The youngest always goes first, lol!

Before hubby became a pastor he had a job where he flew out on Monday and flew back home on Thursday. Talk about a long commute!

The kids were little and they (and I) missed him so much. This commute was only every other week at first but then they asked him to do it every week.

We didn't like that at all.

  8. Gorgeous family, Dani Joy!

You are a hero, Girlfriend! A crab saving hero!!!

    xoxo, Veronica in CA

  9. You are beautiful. I have missed reading your blog. I have just not been as active as I was.

Trying to get caught up!! Praying for your husbands travels!!!
