Fitness Friday - On the Road Success

I am thanking the Lord for giving me the strength to deny myself and strive for health and fitness this week while traveling the whole length of Spain and Portugal.
This trip is living proof that even while traveling we can eat healthy and exercise. I did a form of the Atkins diet with some fruits added in because our bodies need fruit and fiber too.
I have used the Atkins diet in the past with success as well. Cutting out low refined carbohydrate such as white breads and pastas and eating more high protien foods such as cheese, meats and almonds . Almonds have become my favorite foods these days.
For those who are struggling, give yourself 2 weeks to kick the sugar habit. After those two weeks you won´t even crave it. The Atkins diet puts your body into a state in which the body consumes the fat that you have stored.
Well, I lost a kilo on this trip! (a little over 2 pounds) Now, I know what works and I am going to keep it up.
So, take off that bun and eat the meat! Take two apples and call me in the morning!
How are you doing on eating healthier? We need to remember these bodies are on loan and that we only have one life to live.

I finally got off 11 pounds! I'm hoping for a few more before my parents arrive at the end of the month. All my friends were commenting on my "curves" at the conference.. so that was an encouragement.
