Tag you´re It! & The Envelope Please!

I have been tagged! I must admit I have never been tagged in this new blog life that I now live. In fact I haven´t even played blog tag, but I was really hoping to play one day. My new bloggy friend Alicia @ Confessions of a Snowflake has tagged me.

Now I tag you!

Tag! You´re it!

Julia @ Amazing Love
Moms the word @ Momstheword - living for him
Sarah @ modern dayknights and a princess
Tori @ a home far from home
Pilar @ Starks in Spain
Jill @ Jill Boyd´s Place
Kristy @ Canadian Chronicles
Amy @ Daily Pleasures

Here´s how it works.
There are some rules with this tag:I need to link to the person that tagged me.I need to share 7 things people may not know about me.I need to tag 7 people to share 7 things and link to them.I need to let them know they've been tagged.

Here are the 7 things about me you may not know :

1. I use to have only one barbie doll and she was the one in charge of all my miniture Strawberry shortcake doll collection and rode my only "My little Pony".

2. I played American Football with all the boys in the neighborhood till I was 12 and it started to hurt in places I was embarrassed to say.

3. The year I was 7, my mom threw me while I was sitting on her feet in the air. I landed on my tail end and tried to brace myself with my hands. Needless to say, I broke my elbow on our vaccation trip to Canada!

4. That same summer, My Grandma tripped down our stairs and dislocated her elbow. I thought it was my fault. Cried like a baby. My Grandma and I had casts at the same time.

5. I was called to be a missionary after a missionary showed slides of his field in Bolivia at my school. I was 10.

6. I flew out of a car in Paraguay on my short term missions trip. Landed under a parked car and broke my collar bone. Ended up in a private hospital and had morphine for the first time. While I was in the ambulance, I went into shock. The whole lower half of my body shook, while I laughed with my friend! I remember saying.. "Hey look I am shaking like a leaf!" Had no idea I was in shock.

7. I wish I had taken piano and voice lessons in College. I was too scared.

Ok enough confessing...

I would also like to announce another award...

I would like to award four of my missionary friends who have been so dear to me in my blogging beginnings with this award. They have commented on almost all of my posts, flops or no flops and are very uplifting and encouraging in their posts. The Light of Jesus shines through them!

Through you and your blog!!!

The envelope please...
and the winners are...

Pilar @ Starks in Spain

Nina @ Portugal Bound

Tori @ a home far from Home

Kristy @ Canadian Chronicles

There are many more who I have met and who have become very dear (check out my sidebar), but these four have been there since the beginning!

Thanks girls, for being faithful where you have been planted and for being so encouraging! May we see much fruit for our labor!

  2. This is strange. Your MYHSM post shows on my dashboard but I can't access it. Then, I follow the link to it from the post and I get this page.

So either you rescheduled your post or you put a wrong date on it and it posted elsewhere? I will be happy to delete the first link so that put your link up again to the correct post. Just let me know what you want me to do and I'll do it. Looking foward to reading it!

  4. Thank you SO MUCH for the sweet comment on my blog. I appreciate your visit and I hope you come by often!

Yes, to God be the glory for each pound I've lost. I still have a ways to go (about 30 more pounds). I hope you will continue to see me shrink in my photos.

    Bless you!

  5. It will be fine if people come on your blog tomorrow, but if they visit if after the post day, they won't be able to find it as it's linked to your blog URL and not that post page. That's what I think, anyway.

But like I said it will be fine for tomorrow. The reason you link it to the post and not the main homepage is so that people can find it later if they want. But whatever you want to do is fine.

    Looking forward to reading it!

  7. Hey! In response to your comment on my last post...Oh, I've tried babywise and have failed miserabley every time. I'm left frustrated and feeling like a failure. I have a good friend who did it with all 4 of her babies and they were wonderful sleepers and happy babies. All three of mine have been miserable babies and I don't know what I'm doing wrong!!! I don't have any family here either, we're a transplant :) Kenny does help when he can, but mostly the care of the children is up to me. I'm so glad God gave me that verse, it's really helped these past three days!

  8. Oh you're so sweet!!! What a good friend you are! No, I don't mind your input. I know I need all the help I can get. Kaleb will be 7 months old on the 3oth. With the girls I was able to let them cry it out and after a few nights they were sleeping thru the night-Kathryn at 9 months and Gracie at 7 months. Kaleb will not quit. I've let him cry for 2 hours. That's my limit. I had to quit nursing him a couple of weeks ago because he wasn't getting enough from me. Once I gave him the bottle he didn't want me anymore. He did good sleeping for a few days, then went back to his old ways. I try feeding him rice cereal and baby food, but he closes his mouth up tight. He doesn't want it. I make sure he has a full bottle right at bed bedtime, but he still wants to eat around 2 or 3am. I don't know what to do, right now I'm too tired to even think about it :) Thanks for caring!

  12. Opp! Forgot to say that with all that football playin', it's no wonder the Lord gave you boys:) I am sure you are a wonderful mother to them!

  13. Wow, it's a wonder you're still alive!!! Talk about accident prone or just way too active??

I remember playing football with the neighborhood kids in the rain and mud, one of my favorite childhood memories.

I didn't know that you were called to be a missionary so early in life, and look at you now!

If it's okay, I will pass on the tag, I just did one like that a while ago, can't say when though. Plus I'm not a very interesting person and it could take me months to come up with 7 things. :0)

Thank you so much for my award, how sweet. I'm waiting for that "much fruit" any day now right???

Have a great Tuesday Dani Joy!!

  14. Somehow in all the busyness this week, I missed this post. I'm so glad you were able to play along! I think that is really cool that you were called to be a missionary at age 10. What important work you do my friend! I know being a missionary is hard work and can be discouraging. But know you are building up treasures in Heaven. Thank you for all that you do!
