A New Family Member!

I wanted to surprise the boys for all their hard work these last couple of months.

They had earned a lot of smiles on their smile charts for all their jobs, and this Saturday, they were doing their jobs pretty much without me telling them. It pleased me so much! I just was bursting to my mom on the phone, watching them clean their hamster cage all by themselves, all three of them together.

We needed something special!

Something to show them that Mommy was so proud of them.

It was time for a new member of the family!

May I introduce you to our guinea pig Reeses Pieces - lovingly called Reese.

She is only 6wks old  and is babied and pampered all day long. I wonder how she will turn out?

  2. Oh how cute! My son has always wanted a hamster. But with 3 cats, we've always said no. Besides 3 cats are enough responsibility!

Hope your boys have a great time with their new pet.

  5. It has been a bit, but I wanted to stop by and say hello!
Reese is so cute! What a perfect name...her coloring is just like that of a Reese's pieces! haha
Great job to the boys for taking care of her so well.
We had a hamster when ours were younger and we were living in Tulsa (at the time, my hubby was going through bible school). Well, he should have been named "Houdini" cuz he was a pro at getting out of his cage!

    Blessings & Aloha!
I look forward to my next day off to stop back and catch up a little. (during the week, cuz on the weekends, I dont get on the computer too long...try to keep quality time when both my hubby and I are home at the same time :o)

  6. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!! I *adore* guinea pigs...I used to have several!

They are awesome pets! Make sure to let the boys hold her often. Mine were so tame from being handled that I could leave them sitting on my porch and they wouldn't run away!
