Changes and Blessings

TEXAS is a big change from Asturias, Spain!

We are on what missionaries call "furlough" which means rest, but often it means many many hours of driving, new surroundings, and many many new experiences. We give a report to our supporting churches of what the Lord has been doing on our mission field. We will be Stateside for 5 months.
El Paso is a culture all of it´s own.
Here is our driveway!

God has blessed us with a trailer in the desert to live in. We have a bit of a drive to our sending church, but it is exactly what God has provided for us.

The boys have had a full week of school and of football practice. These are days that we pray they will be thankful for the rest of their lives.

The boys on their first day of school last week after traveling three days from Florida.

The boys first day of Panther full tackle football!

God has allowed us to serve in our sending church and school, as well, as visit new churches in the area.

Our first church meeting.
The boys and Joseph singing "The Blood of Jesus" in 4 part harmony.

Please continue to pray for our church in Gijón, Spain and for our travels all over the USA.

  1. Wait!! I'm so lost....did you move to the US or just on a long visit?? Are you still home schooling? So many questions my friend!!! You look wonderful!! I've missed catching up :)

  2. Mimi, We are on what missionaries call furlough, a rest but also a time to visit churches who support us. We prayed about putting the boys into our sending church´s school and the Lord opened the door. they will be in school for 6wks. Then we do "road"school! ;)

So great to hear from ya, Mimi!

  3. Sounds like you're enjoying your time in the States and God is using you in a special way. I hope you are able to get rested and refreshed during these 5 months.

  4. Hi Dani Joy,
Welcome "home" for a bit. I hope your furlough is an encouragement and a time of refreshment for you. I have been lax the last few weeks to send out any e-mails but I wanted to check in with you (B90). Your boys are precious!

  5. Hi!!! I am so behind in my favorite blog reading! So, just catching up now!

I went to high school, met my hubby and lived as a newlywed in Alamogordo, NM, which is about 2 hours from El Paso!

Happy Furlough time! The boys look so big!!!! Love them in their football uniforms!

    Blessings & Aloha!

  6. Wow! I was so busy getting ready for Superman's visit home that I've fallen far behind on my blog reading. El Paso is a big difference from Spain. I hope your kids are having fun and that you're enjoying your time stateside.

  7. Wow!! That is so exciting! What a huge change from Spain!!!!!
